Advisory bodies
The Research Council has a number of advisory bodies. These contribute with their competence within a specific area, and can in some cases be assigned further tasks.

The responsibilities and powers are specified for each advisory body in regulations, whilst the right of decision is described in delegation regulations.
The advisory bodies consist of a number of members who are experts within the respective fields. Most are researchers but the members can also be from other authorities or organisations. The work within an advisory body is led by a chairman.
