Employees

The Swedish Research Council has around 160 staff members, organised into:

Department of planning and co-ordination which assists the Council´s Board, special decision-making bodies and the Director General. The department is also responsible for co-ordinating the Council´s international work and strategic quality and activity development.

Department of research funding with responsibility for advertising, evaluating and monitoring the Council´s various forms of research funding.

Department of research policy analysis, which contributes with data and research support for management, special decision-making bodies, other activity within the Council, and also certain bodies outside the Research Council. The department also handles commissions within the areas of gender, equal opportunities, ethics and animal experiments.

Department of communications which works both with information from the Council and with the research communication activity.

Administration department which is responsible for finance and personnel, law, purchasing, IT, registrar´s and archivist´s functions.
