Ethical Review
Researchers must apply for approval to use certain methods in their research. Ethical Review Boards evaluate research on humans. Ethical Committees on Animal Experiments evaluate research on animals. Research involving genetically modified bacteria, plants, and animals must also be approved, e.g. by the Swedish Work Environment Authority. The Swedish Radiation Safety Authority must approve research involving ionising radiation.
