5,383 applications in this year´s general call

A few weeks ago, our general call round was completed. This included project research grants in all research areas. A total of 5,383 applications were received and will now be assessed. In early November, we will be announcing which applications have been approved.
This year´s general call included 25 grants, including various project research grants and framework grants. The following statistics describe the distribution of the applications between the various research areas and research infrastructure.

What happens next?


The applications will now be assessed by the approximately 50 evaluation panels that cover defined research areas. The evaluation system that the Swedish Research Council uses is based on peer review. This means that researchers examine the applications of other researchers.
In early November, we will publish the grant decisions on our website, as well as statistics regarding the entire application round.
