Commercial Interests

As representative of the administrative entity, the department head (or equivalent) must assure that the researchers involved have no known commercial interests that would conflict with the terms and conditions specified.

Should any commercial interest appear to conflict with the terms and conditions of the Swedish Research Council, the researcher or administrative entity shall immediately inform the Swedish Research Council.
 
It is the responsibility of the researcher to inform the department head, in writing, concerning the extent to which commercial interests or affiliations could influence the project. This applies to the entire project, not just its sub-projects. The aim is to enable the department head to review and evaluate whether the actual situation complies with the standards for objectivity, independence, and transparency. If new information emerges, or if changes occur during the period of the grant, this must be reported, reviewed, and evaluated in a corresponding manner.
