The award percentage varies somewhat from year to year, but for 2011 the percentages of applications funded were as follows:
- Medicine and Health: 25,1 percent
- Natural and Engineering Sciences: 29,5 percent
- Humanities and Social Sciences: 15,2 percent
- Educational Sciences: 14 percent
- Research Infrastructures: 39 percent
- Artistic Research and Development: 19
- Gender Research: 16
