Berzelii Centres

Four strong research environments in Stockholm, Uppsala and Umeå constitute the first Berzelii Centres.

The Berzelii Centres will carry out excellent basic research and expand collaboration with trade and industry and with the public sector in order to make research useful in the long term through commercial application.

The Swedish Research Council and VINNOVA will finance each centre with up to SEK 100 m during a ten-year period. Including co-financing each centre will receive a total of around SEK 270 m.
