Appendix to the Swedish Research Council’s guide to infrastructures

Over the course of 2014, the Swedish Research Council carried out a review of the processes involved in the prioritisation, funding and organisation of national and international research infrastructure. As a first step, an inventory of infrastructure needs for future infrastructures were conducted in 2015, including needs of both national and international infrastructures. Higher education institutions and other actors were invited to hand in suggestions on needs for new or upgraded infrastructure. The infrastructures and areas that were considered most relevant is included in an appendix to "The Swedish Research Council’s guide to infrastructures".

This is the council’s guide on Sweden’s need of national and international research infrastructure. The guide forms the basis for discussions concerning the funding of future infrastructure within the Swedish Research Council, as well as in collaboration with other research funding bodies in Sweden and abroad. The guide will be updated next time in 2018.

It is only infrastructures included in this appendix that can apply for grants in the call in the beginning of 2017. Except for infrastructures identified in the inventory of needs, infrastructures with current funding from the Swedish Research Council that ends in 2017 or 2018, are included.
