Research review 2023: Development research

The Swedish Research Council’s research review in development research describes the current situation for the research and makes a forecast of the development during the next 5–10 years. The review also includes scientific and research policy recommendations for initiatives to promote research in Sweden within the scientific field.

This is one of seven research reviews in total, produced during 2022. The other reviews cover the fields of artistich research, clinical therapy research, educational sciences, humanities and social sciences, medicine and health, and natural and engineering sciences.

The review forms form the basis for the Swedish Research Council’s strategic work and our input to the Government’s research policy bill for 2024.
