The Swedish Research Council visiting professor grant aims to allow universities the possibility to recruit an internationally distinguished professor for a shorter period to develop a specific research area.

Focus
The researcher who can be nominated to the 2017 Tage Erlander Visiting Professorship will be a foreign prominent researcher who have international reputation and is active within one or several of the following areas: mathematical sciences, computer science, signals and systems, mechanics, bioengineering.
Applicant
Organisation applicants only Natural and engineering science departments at Swedish universities and Higher education institutes (HEI) are welcome to nominate candidates for the visiting professorship.
Grant period
6-12 months
Grant amount
Maximum 1,900,000 SEK for the professorship and maximum 400,000 SEK to fund a young researcher to be tied to the visiting professorship.
Publication of grant award
No later than end of September 2017.
Start of grant period
Start date for visit January 2018, at the earliest
