Visiting researcher grant in research into the Holocaust, victims of the Holocaust and anti-Semitism

The Swedish Research Council’s visiting researcher grant aims to give higher education institutions and other research organisations the opportunity to develop and strengthen a research field by recruiting an internationally prominent researcher during a short period.

Support form: Research environment and collaboration support

Subject area: Humanities and Social Sciences

Focus: The Holocaust, victims of the Holocaust and anti-Semitism

Applicant: Organisation applicants only. A representative of the host organisation shall be invited to be the project leader for the application.

Grant period: 3–12 months

Grant amount: Maximum 160 000 SEK per month that the visiting researcher is intended to stay at the HEI.

Start of grant period: January 2023

Application period: 17 August 2022 (14.00/2 p.m.) – 13 September 2022 (14.00/2 pm)

Publication of grant award: No later than the end of December 2022

Focus and nominated visiting researcher

The researcher nominated as the visiting researcher shall be an internationally prominent researcher within the field of the Holocaust, victims of the Holocaust and anti-Semitism.

The researcher nominated must not already be active in Sweden. The researcher must also be aware of the nomination and what acceptance of the nomination entails. If the nominated candidate declines to accept, the HEI cannot propose a replacement.

The visiting researcher is expected to take part in the department’s research and contribute to strengthening the existing research environment.

The visiting researcher shall be employed by the administrating organisation throughout the visit.
