Project grant for cross-sectoral collaboration within medicine and health
The purpose of the project grant is to give researchers the freedom to formulate by themselves the research concept, method and implementation, and to solve a specific research task within a limited period. The focus of this grant aims to increase researcher mobility and support collaboration between higher education institutions and the surrounding society, both the business sector and public and non-profit sectors, to increase the quality and impact of research.
The grant must only be used to fund a postdoc who will be implementing the research project at the higher education instititution and a collaborating organisation.

Participating researchers: A minimum of 1 and up to 6 other researchers shall be invited to join the application. At least one of these shall be a representative of the collaborating organisation.

Grant amount: 1 150 000 SEK per year

Application period: 9 April 2025 (14.00/2 pm) – 14 May 2025 (14.00/2 pm)
Publication of grant award: No later than the beginning of November 2025
Other information about the grant
The research project shall promote collaboration between sectors. The application shall clearly show how the collaboration benefits the research project and the research field as a whole. Both the applicant and the postdoc shall be able to benefit from the research at the collaborating organisation. The postdoc cannot be the applicant. The research environments that the postdoc will be active in shall contribute to the postdoc’s career development, and the applicant’s continued accumulation of scientific merit. The postdoc to be employed does not have to be named in the application.
The collaborating organisation’s engagement in the form of scientific competence, personnel resources, methods and apparatus, or co-funding will be an important part of the assessment of the application. The co-funding can be in the form of in-kind contributions that cover project-related expenses within the collaborating organisation (such as equipment or consumables), or a transfer of cash to the higher education institution. The collaborating organisation shall cover all expenses of the research project that arise in the collaborating organisation.
The administrating organisation is responsible for ensuring general and specific conditions are complied with. The administrating organisation may need to draw up and enter into an agreement with the collaborating organisation to ensure that the terms and conditions are complied with in the research collaboration, for example relating to access to results and publication.
