Focus

The research programme in the societal consequences of digitalisation shall contribute new knowledge about how digitalisation impacts on and is impacted by social and cultural relationships, working life, education, organisations, markets, and the democratic system, including public administration. The wide focus of the research programme means that urgent issues relating to the societal consequences of digitalisation can be looked at from several different perspectives. We welcome applications from all scientific fields, and also cross-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary approaches. The research may cover both local and national circumstances, as well as international comparisons.

Projects awarded funding will be part of the national research programme focusing on the societal consequences of digitalisation, and will be coordinated by a scientific coordinator. The programme is part of the national research programme in the societal consequences of digitalisation that the Government has tasked the Swedish Research Council to establish and operate.
