The Swedish Research Council has decided that professor Anne Orford at University of Melbourne, will be the holder of the 2024 Olof Palme visiting professorship.

The 2024 Olof Palme visiting professorship has been awarded Anne Orford, professor in international law at University of Melbourne, Australia. During her time in Sweden, professor Anne Orford will be active mainly at Stockholm University.

The Olof Palme professorship should be awarded to an internationally prominent researcher focused on topics important to the pursuit of peace in a broad context within the areas of social sciences, humanities, theology and science of law.

We decide on the professorship with two years of advancement. The 2022 decision thus refers to professorship in 2024.
