The 2026 Kerstin Hesselgren visiting professorship has been awarded Victoria Basham, professor in international relations at Cardiff University, UK. During her time in Sweden, she will be active mainly at The Swedish Defence University.
The Kerstin Hesselgren visiting professorship should be awarded to a foreign prominent internationally recognized female researcher in the areas of social sciences, humanities, theology or science of law.
We decide on the professorship with two years of advancement. The 2024 decision thus refers to professorship in 2026.
