The 2028 Tage Erlander visiting professorship has been awarded Nilima Nigam, Professor of mathematics at Simon Fraser University, Canada. During her time in Sweden, she will be active mainly at the Royal Institute of Technology .
The Tage Erlander visiting professorship is awarded to an internationally prominent researcher in natural and engineering sciences.
The researcher nominated for the 2028 visiting professorship had to be active within one or several of the following areas: materials science and engineering, applied and engineering physics, astronomy and sub-atomic physics, light and matter physics, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, systems and electrical engineering, computer science, computational mathematics, data science and statistics, mathematics.
