This professorship is awarded to an internationally prominent researcher in natural and engineering sciences. The researchers eligible for nomination in the 2017 call for visiting professorship had to be active in one or more of the areas of geology and geophysics, soil, air and water processes, organism biology, ecology, systematics and evolution
