European Innovation Council 2018–2020 – Roadshow in Sweden

The EU Commission has launched the Enhanced European Innovation Council pilot to support researchers, companies and innovators. The purpose of the EIC’s roadshow is to present the EU Commission’s thoughts behind the Enhanced EIC pilot during 2018 and 2020.

The European Innovation Council’s roadshow is supported by the EU Commission and organised in collaboration between the Government Offices, Vinnova, the Swedish Research Council and the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth.

On 18 March, the EU Commission launched the Enhanced European Innovation Council pilot to support researchers, companies and innovators to develop innovations with the potential to create new markets, new jobs, growth and wellbeing in Europe.

In particular, the EIC Pathfinder pilot (FET Open and FET Proactive) will support ambitious research projects, aimed at developing radical and innovative technologies. The EIC Accelerator pilot (SME Instrument) is aimed at companies and start-ups with radically new, not yet realised ideas.
