Interview training for the ERC Starting grant

The Swedish Research Council is organising a three part workshop series for European Research Council (ERC) Starting grant (StG) candidates to obtain advice and inspiration for ERC StG and interviews. Researchers applying with Swedish universities as host institutions that have been progressed to the second stage of the application process and have been invited to the ERC StG interviews are welcome to register for these events. Administrative staff at Swedish universities who work with research support for ERC applicants are also welcome to participate.

Digital meeting via Zoom. The link will be sent shortly before the workshop.

Registration

Registration is open until the day before each interview training workshop.

This ERC interview training workshops are aimed at researchers applying with Swedish host institutions who have applied for an ERC StG and have progressed to step 2 of the evaluation process.

The workshop serie aim to prepare candidates for the interview with the ERC panel. The candidates will have the opportunity to meet and obtain information from previous ERC StG and CoG recipients and to practice their presentation technique with a professional coach.

10 September
Communication training. Hands on training on how to present effectively via video chat and how to answer tough interview questions

15 September
Researchers with experiences from ERC interviews (both online and on-site interviews)

27 September
Researchers with experiences from ERC review panel evaluations as well as interviews.

The workshops will be held in English.
