Team ‘Mission Prescription’ is the winner of Hacking AMR 2019
With an idea that assists doctors to match the right antibiotic with the bacterium that causes an infection in a patient, the Mission Prescription team took home the win.
The idea is a web based tool that supports doctors in prescribing antibiotics with the goal to reduce incorrect use of antibiotics. Right now this is just an idea, but the team wants to collaborate and develop the idea to assist doctors in their daily work.
The purpose of Hacking AMR 2019 was to bring together different areas of knowledge and disciplines to find new solutions that can counteract antibiotic resistance. Team Mission Prescription has such a composition of members. By combining this expertise they have managed to develop an idea that has the potential to counteract the increase of resistant bacteria.

Hacking AMR 2019 is organised by Swedish Research Council and Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance (JPIAMR), together with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Norwegian Research Council (RCN).
