Possible to extend the availability period of projects affected by COVID-19
The Swedish Research Council could grant an extension to the availability period of research projects at risk of being delayed due to COVID-19.
If a research project is at risk of being significantly delayed due to COVID-19 and cannot be completed within the availability period, we could grant an extension to the availability period.
Please note! You do not need to submit anything to us until the end of your availability period. Usually that is the year after the last payment of the grant. The application for an extension to the availability period is to be done according to the Swedish Research Council’s normal procedures.
How to apply for an extension to the availability period
Adjustments to projects that can be implemented within the availability period do not need to be reported to us.
