Seven projects about ethics awarded grants in joint initiative
It is now clear who will be awarded funding under the call for research in research ethics, issued jointly by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond for the Advancement of the Humanities and Social Sciences, the Swedish Research Council, and the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities in spring 2020.
Seven projects relating to ethics will share 22.7 million Swedish krona, following assessment of all applications by an international review panel. Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ) was responsible for the call and made the grant decision.
“This joint initiative is an important step towards reinforcing knowledge about research ethics issues,” says Sven Stafström, Director General of the Swedish Research Council. “We are very pleased with the great interest in the call and the broad representation from several research fields that we see among the projects. It will be interesting to partake of the results. They will contribute to the constantly ongoing and important discussion about how implementation of research and research results can develop our society in a responsible way.”
