Valter Nordh appointed acting CEO of NORDUnet

“This is a big and challenging position of trust. It is exciting to have the opportunity to lead NORDUnet over the coming period of time. I hope that my background and extensive international contact network will contribute to the organisation. Collaboration and cooperation between the Nordic countries are important, and result in big benefits,” says Valter Nordh.

Valter Nordh has held a number of positions at Sunet, and has broad experience of collaboration issues and international cooperation, such as his six years as board member of GÉANT, the European counterpart to NORDUnet. At Sunet, he has been responsible for various services, collaborations and communities, and for relations and dialogue with higher education institutions. Valter was also responsible for the Zoom service at the start of the pandemic.

Valter represents the Swedish Research Council and Sunet in EuroHPC’s reference group and EOSC, a role that he will continue with during the time he is leading NORDUnet.
