The work on the Swedish Research Council’s research overviews has started

During 2022, the Swedish Research Council’s scientific councils and committees will produce research overviews within their respective subject areas. This autumn, we will introduce the option of making comments on the first draft.

What is the state of Swedish research in humanities and social sciences, natural and engineering sciences, medicine and health, clinical therapy research, artistic research, educational sciences and development research?

The Swedish Research Council’s research overviews include a description of the current situation and a forecast of developments over the next 5–10 years for each scientific field. They also includes scientific and research policy recommendations for initiatives to promote research in Sweden.

The research overviews are produced every fourth year, and constitute central documentation for the Swedish Research Council’s strategic work. This year is the fourth in the cycle, and the work on the reviews is in full swing. This autumn, we will introduce the option of making comments on the first draft.

The preliminary research overviews will be published at varying times during August–October 2022, and the final versions in early 2023.

Here you can find the dates for when you can leave comments on each review
