55 researchers in Sweden awarded MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship 2024

It has now been decided who will get a grant under the two postdoc calls made in 2024 within the EU programme Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions, MSCA. 55 of the 1 700 researchers awarded grants have a Swedish host department.

In total, 1 700 researchers from within and outside Europe have been awarded grants for European postdoctoral fellowships and Global postdoctoral fellowships. The budget for the calls is 417 million EUR.

55 of the researchers have a Swedish host department. 52 of these have been awarded European postdoctoral fellowships, and 3 Global postdoctoral fellowships.

Proposals with a Seal of Excellence can receive funding from the Swedish Research Council

In total, 367 applications from researchers with Swedish host departments were assessed. In addition to the 55 who were awarded funding by the EU, a further 111 applications received marks that correspond to a ‘Seal of Excellence’.

Those who have been given this quality seal, but have not been funded by the EU, may be contacted, based on the placement on the Swedish ranking list, to receive funding from the Swedish Research Council. It is the organisation that is hosting the project – the administrating organisation – that will be contacted.

The administrating organisation must be approved by the Swedish Research Council. In addition to our general grant terms and conditions, specific EU terms and conditions also apply. The grant period is 12–24 months, depending on the grant period applied for in the original application to the EU.
