The European Research Council (ERC) has established a network with ERC ambassadors who will promote investments in leading-edge research and highlight the importance of science to the economy and society. Sweden’s ambassador is Pauliina Damdimopoulou.

Pauliina Damdimopoulou is a researcher at Karolinska Institutet and has been appointed to be Sweden’s representative in the ERC’s new network of ambassadors.
The Association of ERC Grantees (AERG) is also backing the network, in addition to the ERC.
As ambassador for ERC, Pauliina will among other things inform about the importance of leading-edge research to decision-makers, the media, and other actors. She will also act as support to Sweden’s national contact person (NCP), Anethe Mansén, in her work on increasing knowledge about the ERC and about funding opportunities for researchers in Sweden.
