13 researchers in Sweden to receive an ERC Advanced Grant 2024
The ERC has published the results of last years call for ERC Advanced Grant. 281 researchers from 23 different countries are awarded the grant. 13 of them are affiliated to a Swedish host institution.
ERC Advanced Grant is intended for active researchers who have a track-record of significant research achievements in the last ten years, and the average grant is 2,5 million EUR.
Under the call 2024, 281 researchers from 23 countries will share 721 million EUR. Among the 13 researchers in Sweden receiving ERC Advanced Grant, 7 are active within life sciences an 6 within within physical sciences and engineering.
ERC recieved 2524 applications. The approval rate was 11 percent.

The Swedish Research Council supports researchers applying for grants from the ERC
We organise webinars to prepare researchers at Swedish universities for interviews with the ERC panel, as well as information meetings ahead of upcoming calls for proposals.
