13 researchers in Sweden to receive an ERC Consolidator Grant 2025
The ERC has published the result of the call for ERC Consolidator grants. 13 of the researchers have a Swedish host institution.
The ERC Consolidator Grant are intended for researchers who have a research group and want to strengthen their role as a research leader, 7–12 years after completing their PhD. The grant is an average of two million euros over five years.
In total, 349 researchers from 25 countries in Europe will share more than 728 million euro to conduct leading-edge research. Among the 13 researchers in Sweden receiving ERC Consolidation Grants, eight are active in life science, one in social sciences and humanities and four in physical and engineering sciences. The success rate of the call is about 11,2 percent.

The Swedish Research Council supports researchers in applying for ERC grants in various ways. We arrange webinars to prepare researchers at Swedish universities for interviews with the ERC panel as well as webinars with information about upcoming ERC calls.
