52 researchers in Sweden awarded MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship 2025
The recipients of grants from the two postdoctoral calls made in 2025 within the EU programme Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) have now been announced. 52 of the 1,610 researchers awarded grants have a Swedish host department.
A total of 1,610 researchers from within and outside Europe have been awarded grants for European postdoctoral fellowships and Global postdoctoral fellowships. The budget for the Calls is 404.3 million euro.
52 of the researchers have a Swedish host department and have all received grants within European postdoctoral fellowships.
The Swedish Research Council can fund applications with the Seal of Excellence
A total of 585 applications from researchers with a Swedish host department were assessed. 360 of these have a grade of 85 or higher, which corresponds to a Seal of Excellence.

Some of those who have received this seal of quality but have not received funds from the EU may, based on their grade, receive funds from the Swedish Research Council through our responsibility as the National Contact Point (NCP) for MSCA.

- It is the organisation hosting the project – the administrating organisation – that is offered this opportunity.
- The Swedish Research Council will contact the organisations concerned.
- The administrating organisation must be approved by the Swedish Research Council.
- In addition to our general grant conditions, specific EU terms and conditions also apply.
- The grant period is 12–24 months, depending on the period applied for in the original application to the EU.
- Funds are paid out as a standard amount.
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, MSCA
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, MSCA, is a programme within Horizon Europe aimed at increasing researcher mobility between countries, and between academia and business. The programme entails competence development for individual researchers and the same time as enabling higher education institutions to receive prominent researchers.
