Participate in quantum technology projects through an international call
Nordforsk is providing research funding to Nordic participants in an international call for proposals in the field of quantum technology research. The Swedish Research Council is one of the funding agencies. The Canadian funding agency, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), is responsible for the call. The application deadline is September 24, 2026.
The purpose of the call is to support multilateral collaborations in research on quantum science and technologies. The call offers researchers in the Nordic region the opportunity to participate in international research collaborations with at least one participant from Canada, as well as one participant from a country eligible to receive grants from any of the participating international funding agencies. Research projects eligible for funding from Nordforsk must include eligible research partners from at least two different Nordic countries.
The aim is to fund Nordic participation in 12 research project networks over a three-year period.
This call for proposals is a collaboration between NSERC, Nordforsk, the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), the United Kingdom Research and Innovation Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (UKRI – EPSRC), and the United States National Science Foundation (NSF).
The Canadian participant is responsible for submitting the joint application to NSERC, which will then oversee the evaluation process.
The application deadline is September 24, 2026.
