The programme has five focus areas
- Develop, strengthen and improve European research infrastructure (INFRADEV)
- Further develop the European Open Science Cloud, EOSC (INFRAEOSC)
- Design tailored infrastructure services that support health research, drive the research frontier forwards, and speed up the green and digital transition (INFRASERV)
- Develop advanced scientific instruments, tools, methods and digital solutions that enable ground-breaking discoveries (INFRATECH)
- Provide networks and open/accessible network services that link together researchers, data and computing resources, and enable research collaboration without borders (INFRANET)
Who can apply for funding?
There are various grants to apply for within the programme’s five focus areas. The applicants can be individual research infrastructures, groups of research infrastructures, groups of researchers and network suppliers within research and education (national research and education networks, NRENs). Who can apply for what grant varies between the different focus areas.
What help can the Swedish Research Council provide?
The Swedish Research Council has a National Contact Point (NCP) and an expert who function as a link between applicants in Sweden and the European Commission. They inform about funding opportunities under the programme, via the higher education network Swarma.
