GBIF - Global Biodiversity Information Facility

Sweden is a member of GBIF via the Swedish Research Council. This is an international research infrastructure aimed at making data on biodiversity accessible. Hundreds of millions of observations and registrations – everything from museum collections to data from citizen science – are incorporated here in in standardised formats into a central database and made freely accessible to both researchers and the general public. The host of the Swedish GBIF node is the Swedish Natural History Museum.
