GGS (Generations and Gender Survey)

The GGP is a social science infrastructure that plays an important role in research of central importance to societal development, demography, and family sociology.

GGP offers open and free access to harmonized data for the study of the causes and consequences of childbearing and family changes, including how various contextual factors contribute to differences between European countries.

GGP collaborates with other leading European research infrastructures, such as ESS ERIC, SHARE ERIC, EVS, and CESSDA ERIC, with the aim of creating synergies between them.

The goal of the infrastructure is to improve understanding of the causes and consequences of the dramatic declines in fertility and changes in partnership behavior in Europe and other affluent countries.
