Communicate more!
The Swedish Research Council has a government mandate to coordinate science communication. We work with a long-term approach to ensure research benefits society, and encourage dialogue and collaboration between researchers and other societal actors.
There are many reasons why it is important to communicate research, including:
- Communication of research results makes it possible for organisations, politicians, and people outside the research community to make science-informed decisions.
- Active dialogue about research can inspire new generations to further study.
- Researchers gain access to new perspectives and approaches.
- The public has the right to access and learn about results of publicly funded research.
