Call for International Collaboration within Antimicrobial Resistance (JPIAMR)

In 2017 the WHO published the Global priority pathogen list of antibiotic-resistant bacteria to guide research, discovery, and development of new antibiotics (PPL). The JPIAMR 6th joint call is a direct response to the list. The aim is to discover new targets, compounds, or new tools with the potential to help controlling infections by drug-resistant bacteria identified by the WHO as priority pathogens.

On January 11th, 2018, the 6th call opened and Sweden, together with fifteen countries, is participating in the call. The total budget for JPIAMR's 6th joint call is approximately 14.4 million Euro. A maximum of two Swedish partners can participate in one consortium. The maximum funding is 300 000 Euro for all the Swedish partners in the consortium.

The call has a two-step procedure, with a first stage (pre-proposal submission) from which selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal. Final decision will be made during October / November 2018.

About the call

The call text for the call is available at the JPIAMR website where the submission tool is available. Submission deadline for pre-proposals is on mars 7. Swedish participants shall also make an application in Prisma, which is possible until March 12, 2018.
