The Swedish Research Council has decided that Remigio Cabrera-Trujillo, professor of physics at National Autonomous University of Mexico, will be the holder of the 2026 Tage Erlanders visiting professorship.

The 2026 Tage Erlander visiting professorship has been awarded Remigio Cabrera-Trujillo professor of physics at National Autonomous University of Mexico. During his time in Sweden, he will be active mainly at the University of Gothenburg.
The Tage Erlander visiting professorship is awarded to an internationally prominent researcher in natural and engineering sciences.
The researcher nominated for the 2026 visiting professorship had to be active within one or several of the following areas: Materials Science and Engineering, Applied and Engineering Physics, Astronomy and Subatomic Physics, Physics of Light and Matter, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Systems and Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computational, Mathematics, Mathematics, Data Science, and Statistics.
