Six Sweden-based researchers in teams funded by ERC Synergy grants
The ERC has now published the results from the Synergy grant call. The grant is aimed at research teams with two to four researchers who work in synergy to jointly solve a research question. In total, 37 research teams are sharing more than 360 million euro to help them conduct their leading edge research. Five of the research teams include researchers with Swedish host organisation.
Karolinska Institutet
- Mikael Rydén and two researchers from France: Spheres: Lipid droplet hypertrophy: the link between adipocyte dysfunction and cardiometabolic diseases
- Igor Adameyko (also in Austria), Susanne Schlisio and two researchers from France and USA: Kill-or-differentiate: Using cell-cell interactions to unlock new cancer treatments: Forcing neural crest tumors back onto the developmental path
Lund University
- Martin Leijnse and three researchers from Denmark: NonLocal: Foundations of nonlocal and nonabelian condensed-matter systems
Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences
- Tomas Roslin and two researchers from Finland and USA: Lifeplan: A Planetary Inventory of Life – a New Synthesis Built on Big Data Combined with Novel Statistical Methods
Uppsala University
- Olle Eriksson and two researchers from Germany and the Netherlands: FastCorr: Ultrafast dynamics of correlated electrons in solids

The ERC has published the results of last years call for ERC Advanced Grant. 255 researchers from 20 different countries are awarded the grant. 10 of them are affiliated to a Swedish host institution.
