Research environment grant within artistic research

The purpose of the research environment grant within artistic research is to create added value through collaboration in slightly larger groupings and with a longer term perspective than standard projects can offer. The applicant shall be a constellation of several researchers from different higher education institutions (HEI) and/or different subjects, nationally or internationally, who are working towards a common research goal.

Collaboration may, for example, be justified by a research task with a multi-artistic and/or multi-scientific focus, joint projects between researchers at different HEIs and departments, or research linked to a national/international infrastructure. The research task must be so extensive and so challenging that it cannot be addressed by a single project leader, and the application must demonstrate that the research team offers a suitable combination of the knowledge and competences required to address this particular task.
