The Swedish Research Council has decided that professor Ann Phoenix at University College London will be the holder of the 2020 Kerstin Hesselgren visiting professorship.

The 2020 Hesselgren visiting professorship has been awarded Ann Phoenix, professor of psychosocial studies at University College London, UK. During her time in Sweden, professor Ann Phoenix will be active mainly at Umeå University.

The Kerstin Hesselgren visiting professorship should be awarded to a foreign prominent internationally recognized female researcher in the areas of social sciences, humanities, theology or science of law.

We decide on the professorship with two years of advancement. The 2018 decision thus refers to professorship in 2020.
