The Swedish Research Council has decided that Dag Michalsen, professor in legal history and jurisprudence at the University of Oslo, Norway, will be the holder of the 2025 Olof Palme visiting professorship.

The 2025 Olof Palme visiting professorship has been awarded Dag Michalsen, professor in in legal history and jurisprudence at the University of Oslo, Norway. During his time in Sweden, he will be active mainly at Uppsala University.
The Olof Palme professorship should be awarded to an internationally prominent researcher focused on topics important to the pursuit of peace in a broad context within the areas of social sciences, humanities, theology and science of law.
We decide on the professorship with two years of advancement. The 2022 decision thus refers to professorship in 2025.
