The Swedish Research Council has decided that professor Mona Lena Krook, Professor in political science at Rutgers University, will be the holder of the 2023 Kerstin Hesselgren visiting professorship.

The 2023 Kerstin Hesselgren visiting professorship has been awarded Mona Lena Krook, Professor in political science at Rutgers University, USA. During her time in Sweden, professor Mona Lena Krook will be active mainly at Uppsala University.

The Kerstin Hesselgren visiting professorship should be awarded to a foreign prominent internationally recognized female researcher in the areas of social sciences, humanities, theology or science of law.

We decide on the professorship with two years of advancement. The 2021 decision thus refers to professorship in 2023.
