Kerstin Hesselgren visiting professorship

The Swedish Research Council has decided that Manuela Boatcă, Professor in sociology at Albert Ludwig University Freiburg, Germany, will be the holder of the 2025 Kerstin Hesselgren visiting professorship.

The 2025 Kerstin Hesselgren visiting professorship has been awarded Manuela Boatcă, professor in sociology at Albert Ludwig University Freiburg, Germany. During her time in Sweden, she will be active mainly at Södertorn University.

The Kerstin Hesselgren visiting professorship should be awarded to a foreign prominent internationally recognized female researcher in the areas of social sciences, humanities, theology or science of law.

We decide on the professorship with two years of advancement. The 2023 decision thus refers to professorship in 2025.
