The Committee for Development Research is being disbanded

In light of the Government's decision in June 2023 that the Swedish Research Council will no longer receive targeted funding for new calls within development research, the Swedish Research Council’s Board has decided to disband the Committee.

The Swedish Research Council’s Committee for Development Research has been responsible for supporting research of the highest scientific quality in this field from 2013 to 2023. It has made decisions regarding which calls should be carried out and which applications should be awarded grants.

The Committee has also conducted follow-ups, evaluations, and developed strategies for the research field, including a research overview of development research every four years.
