International call on climate, environment and health

Researchers in Sweden are welcome to apply for grants from the the Belmont Forum call on climate, environment and health. The call supports international interdisciplinary projects with participating researchers from at least three of the participating countries. Deadline for expression of interest is 6 May.

The Belmont Forum is an international partnership that mobilizes funding of environmental change research and accelerates its delivery to remove critical barriers to sustainability.

The Swedish Research Council and Forte are participating in the call. The purpose of the call is to improve understanding of the pathways between climate, environment, and health to support readiness of the health sector to respond to climate challenges. Projects should seek to fill knowledge gaps, understand health risks, improve predictability, and deliver usable data, information and innovative solutions to planners and decision makers that improve preparedness and response to climate and environment change impacts on health.
