Grant for accessibility to infrastructure
The Swedish Research Council has decided on approved applications within Grant for accessibility to infrastructure
Decision published
Please note that only notice in Prisma guarantees that a grant has been approved.
We received 35 applications, of which 9 have been granted and in total, we have granted SEK 76 million.
The grant are allocated to organisations within the public sector and the industry that facilitate and increase the use of research infrastructures SciLifeLab, Max IV and ESS. The grant will also promote Swedish participation in the development and upgrading of research infrastructures of great strategic value for Swedish researchers and Swedish business.
What happens next?
A few days after the grant decision has been published, you can see the decision and final statement for your application on your account in Prisma. A message is shown on Prisma’s starting page under the heading Tasks. Please note that your research colleagues may receive their decisions and final statements before you receive yours, or vice versa.
How to find the final statement:
- Go the tab Applications and grants
- Select Applications in the left-hand menu
- Click on the arrow to the right of the Event log button
Some project applications receive final statements that only contain a summary grade. These applications were given the lowest grades by the review panel. They were screened out early, and therefore not discussed in as much detail by the panel.

If your application has been approved, a document describing the conditions for the grant, “Approval of Conditions”, is also published in your personal Prisma account. It may take up to three weeks before the document is published in Prisma. You and the head of department/corresponding must sign this as soon as possible, but no later than within 90 days.
Payment of the grant will normally start no earlier than January 2019, and it will be paid out monthly on condition that the “Approval of Conditions” have been signed. Your HEI will then administer the payments to you.
Yes, it is up to you and your employer to agree on when the project shall start, as long as this does not affect the availability period of the grant.
The review process is described under “How your application is assessed” in the call text. A link to the call is available in the right hand column of this page
